Narooma LifeSaving Energy Big Swim 20/4/08

Ready....

On 20/4, about 20 swimmers gathered to swim 7km in the Wagonga Inlet in Narooma to raise money for renewable energy for the Narooma and Bermagui surf clubs, and for the Narooma swimming club. The water temperature was about 17 degrees, with drizzling rain which made conditions a little difficult, but all swimmers survived the big swim, and no sharks were seen. Well done to the Narooma and Bermi surf clubs and to the Narooma swim club for organising such a good event.
A shorter 2km swim attracted about 80 swimmers.

set...

Sponsorship from the National Australia Bank and Tathra Beach and Bike insured that this event was always going to be a success.

Andrew Constance was on hand to officially start the event
